You know what they say - the third time's a charm! The rain and heat may have delayed us, but we weren't letting anything stand between us and this Sericea lespedeza. Thank you to our dedicated members and volunteers who came out to our very first Hands on Habitat event.

REGISTER HERE: https://events.pheasantsforever.org/events/e5468e1c-7e2d-479f-be8e-abe0fc8ac490

Out of the meeting room and into the field! We're ditching the traditional meeting format this July and heading outside to make a real impact in the community.

Join us for a Hands-On Habitat Meeting, where we’ll roll up our sleeves to tackle invasive species, tour plots of native forbs and grasses, and wrap up the evening with some grilled dinner and good company.

Whether you're a longtime member or just habitat-curious, this is a great chance to learn, connect, and get your hands dirty for conservation.

Tuesday, July 8th, 5:00-8:00pm
Port Hudson Lake Pavilion
What to Bring: Work gloves, water bottle, and long sleeve shirt and pants. A limited number of hand tools will be provided, so it is encouraged to bring your own.

CANCELLED!

Due to the recent heavy rainfall and resulting muddy conditions around the lake, as well as a forecast calling for more wet weather, we've made the tough decision to cancel this year's Fishing Derby.

The safety and enjoyment of our participants is our top priority, and unfortunately, the conditions just aren’t suitable for a fun or safe day of fishing.

Thank you for understanding, and we hope to see you at our next event!

We've had a few questions come in regarding our upcoming Quail Day on June 28th, and we want to make it known that this is a family-friendly event, and we encourage you to bring your children!

The Missouri Stream Team will be leading a hands-on educational activity at the creek, exploring aquatic ecology in a fun and engaging way. Kids are also welcome to sit in on our speaker sessions and join the habitat tours.

Feel free to bring strollers or wagons for little ones but please keep in mind that the area does not have sidewalks or paved paths.

We’re looking forward to a fun, educational day for all ages. See you there!
