We’re on a mission to promote and encourage literacy in our community.

Through innovative programs, we’re working to instill and increase a love of reading for all ages in our local communities.

It's Little Free Library Week and we are proud to be the stewards of several Little Free Libraries in our community -- and a nonprofit organization helping plant new book exchange boxes!

With help from the Friends at the Washington Public Library, we maintain libraries at All-Abilities Playground, Phoenix Park and inside Washington's Amtrak Station & Visitor Center.

We also partner with the Friends to provide large print books for seniors in Homestead at Hickory View, Oak Pointe and Union Pointe. And, our annual $500 grant has helped plant other libraries locally -- including a new library coming to a park near you!

The Little Free Library motto is Take a Book, Leave a Book — so help celebrate Little Free Library Week by sharing a good book in a Little Free Library near you!
