🚗CCBPS Programs Manager/Regional Advocate Coordinator, Tameka Spruill, has been on the road again connecting with communities across Beaufort County!

This week, she spent time with our Pantego & Belhaven Community Advocates, Latrice Peele and Maurice Griffin, along with members of their Community Citizens Group. Together, they discussed and strategized around one of the most pressing concerns facing residents today—🏠 housing.

As conversations continue throughout Beaufort County, housing and food security remain key areas of focus. The Pantego and Belhaven teams are committed to helping connect residents with available resources, building partnerships with local agencies and exploring solutions that can help address housing-related challenges within their communities.

👏🏾A special thank you to Mrs. Peele and Mr. Griffin for their leadership to serving the citizens of Pantego, Belhaven and surrounding areas.

✨Community Conversations Matter!✨

CCBPS Programs Manager/Regional Advocate Coordinator, Tameka Spruill, recently had the opportunity to spend time with our Chocowinity & Blounts Creek Community Advocate, Naomitress Cobb-Summers.

During their lunch meeting, Mrs. Summers shared valuable insights from the surveys in the area about affordable housing and housing-related needs affecting individuals and families throughout the community. Their discussion highlighted several important areas of focus, including:

🏠 Housing affordability
🔨 Home repair assistance
✨ Healthy and safe living conditions
✨ Supportive housing resources for seniors
✨ Assistance for vulnerable populations

These priorities can help shape future community engagement efforts and strengthen resources for those who need them most.

📢 Mrs. Summers has organized a Housing Community Forum to discuss these important topics and hear directly from residents and presenters.

📅 Thursday, July 16th
⏰ 6:00pm
📍 Ware Creek Church, Blounts Creek, NC

All community members are encouraged to attend, share their perspectives and be part of the conversation as we work together to identify solutions and strengthen our communities.

A special thank you to Mrs. Naomitress Cobb-Summers for her dedication, leadership and commitment to serving the Chocowinity, Blounts Creek and surrounding communities. Your advocacy is making a difference!✨

📢 ⚠️ SUMMER CAMP CANCELLATION NOTICE

We regret to inform our families and community that our 2026 Summer Camp has been canceled due to low registration enrollment.

While we were looking forward to providing a fun, engaging and enriching summer experience for our students, we did not receive enough registrations to move forward with the program.

We sincerely appreciate the support and interest shown by those who applied and inquired about the camp. We hope to offer future programs and opportunities for our youth and community.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
