Hi! My name is Ella Vaughn, and I am a senior at Washington Community High School. I am excited and honored to serve as the Washington Bridge Education Foundation Student Intern for the 2026–2027 school year!

At WCHS, I am involved in Pantherettes, Football Cheerleading, Student Council, Unified, National Honor Society, WLCS, Advocates for Awareness, Pep Club, and Fitness Club. Being involved in so many different areas of our school has given me the opportunity to connect with students across our school community, and I am excited to use those connections to help spread the word about the Foundation and the opportunities it provides.

I first learned about the Washington Bridge Education Foundation when my school counselor encouraged me to apply for a Work-Based Learning Scholarship Grant. I was so grateful to receive a $350 grant to help cover the cost of my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course through ICC, which I am taking this fall. This opportunity has been especially meaningful to me because I hope to become a pediatric nurse and continue my education at a four-year university.

After experiencing firsthand how the Foundation can help students take steps toward their future, I wanted to become more involved. Serving as the WBEF Intern is a great opportunity for me to gain hands-on experience in fundraising, marketing, and promoting the Foundation, while also helping other WCHS students learn about the resources and opportunities available to them.

I am excited to help bridge the gap between high school and the workforce by increasing awareness of the Foundation and encouraging more students to take advantage of the opportunities it offers. I am especially grateful to have the chance to represent WCHS as a senior and help make a difference in our school and community.
