We want to thank EVERYONE involved in our Egg Hunt a few weeks ago. We had bouncy houses and over 4000 eggs. There were a total of 18 Grand Prizes. Big THANK YOU to Pruitt Health in Washington and Ms. Julie Berry for the donation of eggs and prizes.

We have an amazing community and we can't wait to continue serving the our Wilkes County Kids!

⭐️2025 Christmas Report⭐️

This Christmas season was nothing short of amazing for Wilkes County Kids!

Because of our incredible community, we were able to provide toys to 114 families and 299 children this holiday season.

We are especially grateful to the Wilkes County GA Sheriff's Office for their support through the Angel Tree program, which provided toys for 66 of these families. Your partnership truly made a difference in so many lives.

Thanks to generous monetary and toy donations, children received multiple items from their wish lists — and smiles were everywhere! We also distributed over 40 bikes and scooters, along with 3 basketball goals, giving many kids unforgettable surprises. 🚲🛴🏀

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every donor, volunteer, and partner who helped make this possible!

Merry Christmas from all of us at Wilkes County Kids!

Our toy hand out was this past Sunday & we were able to provide Toys & clothes to over 275 children in Wilkes County! ♥️

Thank you so much to all of our volunteers that worked countless hours to make this happen, all of those that made monetary and toy donations & the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office for their Angel Tree donations!

* WHERE: McGill Woodruff At Center at 136 Campbell St. Washington, GA

PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE WAY TRAFFIC ON CAMPBELL STREET. CARS WILL ENTER FROM 3rd STREET AND EXIT ON HWY 78 AFTER TOYS HAVE BEEN PICKED UP.

Directions: once you enter on Campbell St. pull forward and check in at the table where the street makes a sharp turn to the right. The person picking up the toys MUST be the person who applied for the toys, photo ID is required. You will receive a card with your number. Once directed, pull forward and present your card to the volunteer and your toys will be loaded into your vehicle. You may proceed to exit on Hwy 78.

Tip: turn on to the street where Colonial Building Supply is on the left and the Stockyard is on the right, this will be Campbell Street!

We will have something marking both entrances of 3rd Street and Campbell Street.

Thank you to our local Sheriff's Department!

It is with great pleasure that I announce we are partnering with Wilkes Kids for Christmas this year. For many years, I have supported and helped build a Christmas program to ensure that no child goes without a Christmas. Wilkes Kids has been providing Christmas assistance to families in Wilkes County for several years, and while the program has grown, the need in our community continues to grow as well.
My goal is to ensure that the children in our community know we care about them and that they can always count on us. With that in mind, we will be setting up a Christmas tree in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office. On that tree, you will find numbered angels. You may select an angel and bring it to our receptionist, who will provide you with an envelope containing information about a child along with their wish list.
Please feel free to stop by next week and adopt a child for Christmas. If you prefer not to adopt a child but still want to contribute, you are welcome to purchase gifts and drop them off at our office. Monetary donations are also gladly accepted, and we will provide a receipt for tax purposes.
In closing, please know that all families participating in this program have been vetted, and these represent genuine needs within our community. Thank you in advance for helping us make Christmas brighter for the children of Wilkes County.

We are excited to announce that the Christmas Toy Application is now digital and is available to fill out as a Google Form. This will help us streamline purchasing and organizing! We understand that not everyone has accesss to a digital device, please stop by the Wilkes County EMS Station at 105 Marshal St. Washington, GA 30673 to pick up a paper form.

DEADLINE: December 5th 5 PM EST

The pickup date is December 21, 2025 2-5 PM for EVERYONE!

Location: McGill Woodruff Center @ 136 Campbell St. Washington GA.

Pickup Directions: 🚗
There will be ONE WAY TRAFFIC FLOW. Cars will enter Campbell Street from Third Street as the entrance from Hwy 78 will be blocked off and will become an EXIT ONLY. Cars will enter, drive around, provide identification at the designated table and be assigned a number which you will hand to the next volunteer at the building entrance. Your toys will be placed in your vehicle. You may then exit to Hwy 78!

Boxes will be placed around several businesses throughout the community. Please contact us if you wish to make a monetary contribution!

You can also request to adopt a family which we will keep anonymous. You will be provided the age and wish list!
