GW Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) is an Alternative Greek community service and leadership organization for undergraduate women. ESA works to promote life-long sisterhood through service, completing over 3,000 hours of service as a chapter each year. Through partnerships with nationally recognized organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, service work with over 45 sites in the Greater W

☆ I joined ESA during my freshman fall because I was looking to find a community that held similar values to mine, as community service was important to me all throughout high school. ESA best represented those interests and in my time here I have met some of my closest friends and made some of my most cherished memories. I could not recommend this chapter more and I look forward to continuing my time here :)

Important service day! Today we helped hand out cards for possible sponsors and donations. The FB Food Pantry is an important part of our community, they help feed 100+ families in the area. This service is an ESA favorite for sure!

Anna H: I joined ESA the fall of my freshman year because I was looking for a new community to join at GW. My high school was centered around community service, so I was looking for a way to continue that in college. I was always curious about joining a sorority but wasn’t sure about Panhellenic. Because of that ESA has been an amazing fit for me! I have been able to continue my passion for community service, while also being able to find a sisterhood. I’m so grateful that I joined ESA knowing connections made here will last a lifetime. ESA may be a perfect fit for you, like it was for me!
