At Kelly Center of Hope, we are a home—a licensed Safe Place Agency, a supportive space—for youth and young adults on their journey toward stability and independence, offering not only shelter, but also compassion, guidance, and tools needed to thrive.

💙 Happy First Day Back to School, Beaufort County!🎒📚

Today marks the first day back to school, and as our youth walk through those school doors, we want to remind our community of something important: our kids are carrying more than we may realize.

Over the past couple of years, many of our youth have experienced the loss of friends, classmates, and peers. They’ve had to navigate grief, change, uncertainty, and challenges that no young person should have to carry alone.

So today, and throughout this school year, let’s give our youth a little extra grace. 💙

A student who seems quiet may be hurting.
A teenager who seems angry may be overwhelmed.
A young person who doesn't seem like themselves may simply be struggling with everything they're carrying.

We may not always know what a young person is going through, but we can choose to be patient, kind, and willing to listen.

At Kelly Center of Hope, we want every young person to know:

💙 One Week Later… and We’re Still Smiling!💙

It’s been one week since we had the opportunity to attend the Back to School Bash, and WOW—what an incredible turnout! 🎒✏️

We are so thankful to have been part of such a wonderful event and to connect with so many families, youth, and community members. Events like this give us an opportunity to not only support our community, but also raise awareness about the youth and young adults we serve throughout our community and surrounding areas.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and for allowing KCH to be a part of it. We love getting out into the community and sharing what we do—and most importantly, reminding young people that they are not alone and there is a safe place for them.🏡💙

💜 Thank You, The Journey Church! 💜

We are so grateful to The Journey Church in Dunn, NC for inviting Alexis to speak at The Well Women’s Gathering and share her story, the heart behind Kelly Center of Hope, and the importance of creating safe places for youth and young adults in our community.

What made the evening even more special was being surrounded by women who not only listened, but prayed over us and covered our team in prayer as we continue this work. 🙏

The mission of Kelly Center of Hope is close to our hearts, and there are days when the work feels big—but moments like this remind us that we don't have to do it alone. We are so thankful for churches and communities who come alongside us, believe in this mission, and help us continue to pour into the lives of youth and young adults who need a safe place, hope, and someone who believes in them.

💙 The Kelly Center of Hope extends our deepest condolences to the Boltes family and everyone grieving the loss of Solomon. We join our community in praying for peace, comfort, and strength in the difficult days ahead.

Moments like these remind us that we never truly know what someone may be carrying.

To every young person reading this: You are not alone! If you’re struggling, feeling overwhelmed, experiencing conflict at home, or simply need someone to talk to, please reach out. As Eastern North Carolina’s Safe Place agency, our team is here to listen, support, and help you through whatever you’re facing.

We also invite local businesses, churches, libraries, and community organizations to partner with us by becoming an official Safe Place site. A Safe Place site gives youth a trusted place to walk in, ask for help, or text for help while our trained team responds and meets them where they are.

Together, we can make sure every young person knows there is always a safe place to turn. 💙

🎉 Happy National Intern Day! 🎉

We may be a little biased, but we truly believe we have the BEST interns! 💙

At Kelly Center of Hope, we are incredibly thankful for our partnership with East Carolina University's School of Social Work. Their collaboration allows students to gain meaningful, real-world experience while making a lasting impact on the lives of the youth and young adults we serve.

We are so grateful for the three amazing interns who have been part of the KCH family so far. Each has brought compassion, dedication, and a willingness to learn, and we couldn't be more appreciative of the time they've invested in our mission.

Here's to celebrating our past, present, and future interns—we look forward to welcoming many more in the years to come!

✨ Thank you to the Washington Noon Rotary Club for hosting a wonderful "Light Up the Night for Good" event this past Saturday!

Kelly Center of Hope was honored to be one of five local nonprofits showcased during this special evening. What a joy it was to share our mission, connect with members of our community, and continue building support for the youth we serve.

We are incredibly grateful for organizations like Washington Noon Rotary that invest in local nonprofits and create opportunities to highlight the important work being done throughout our community.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and helped make the evening such a success. Together, we are bringing hope, encouragement, and opportunity to the next generation. ❤️
