✨ Light Up the Night with Washington Noon Rotary! ✨

Kelly Center of Hope is honored to be one of five local nonprofits being highlighted at this year's Light Up the Night event hosted by the Washington Noon Rotary Club!

This special evening will celebrate the incredible work being done throughout our community while raising support for organizations making a difference in the lives of others. We are grateful to be included and excited to share more about the impact being made through Kelly Center of Hope.

🎉 Celebrating One Year at Kelly Center of Hope 🎉

One year ago, we stood together for a ribbon cutting and prayed that Kelly Center of Hope would become a place where young adults could experience stability, support, love, and hope.

Today, as we celebrate our first anniversary, we can confidently say that every late night, every challenge, every prayer, and every sacrifice has been worth it.

Just to name a few of the many successes:

❤️ 100% of residents became employed.
🎓 100% enrolled in college.
🏥 100% established therapy & healthcare
📚 100% attended the KCH Life Skills courses.
💳 100% completed financial literacy classes & opened and maintained bank accounts
🛼 100% learned to skate—and fell in love with it.
✝️ 100% learned about Jesus and His love for them.

In addition:

🏠 One resident graduated from the program and is living independently, still employed, and working on associates degree.

🚗 One resident saved enough money to purchase their own car.

🎓 One resident graduated high school early.

Every resident experienced a healthy family-like atmosphere at KCH & will tell you that they have felt loved and cared for like never before.

None of this would have been possible without our incredible staff, volunteers, donors, community partners, and supporters. Thank you for believing in this mission and helping make Kelly Center of Hope a place where lives are being changed.

Here’s to the lives touched in year one, the lessons we’ve learned, & the hope that year two will bring!

💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Kelly Center of Hope, we know that mental health matters — especially for the youth and young adults we serve who may be navigating trauma, homelessness, family instability, or difficult life transitions.

Mental health challenges are real, and no one should have to face them alone. This month, we want to help break the stigma by encouraging open conversations, compassion, support, and access to resources.

Sometimes the greatest thing we can offer someone is simply a safe place, a listening ear, and the reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

Let’s continue working together to build a community where hope, healing, and support are available to everyone 💚

Huge congratulations to one of our incredible team members! Just a year ago, Payton walked through our doors with an unstoppable work ethic and a true can-do attitude! 💜 Today, we are so proud to celebrate her amazing achievement: earning her Bachelor’s in Social Work!!! We can’t wait to see the impact you’ll continue to make!

💜Congratulations are in order for Hailey Sprague, our ECU Intern 🏴‍☠️ , on completing her Bachelor's degree in Social Work. Hailey's ability to juggle academic pursuits with practical experience, including running case management meetings, learning about community resources, networking, observing complexities of care related to trauma and mental health, and adapting to our nonprofit environment, is commendable 💛

Her perseverance with our office's energetic puppy, Ollie, is also appreciated 😆

Many thanks to Adriana Cilluffo, her preceptor, for guiding her through this experience and ensuring she had the opportunity to excel.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Bethany Methodist Church for welcoming us this past weekend to share about the mission of Kelly Center of Hope.

Their ministry coordinator invited us to speak with their women’s group about how they can get involved, support our in-house needs, and learn more about the very real challenges facing youth and young adults in our community.

We are so grateful for opportunities like this to connect, build partnerships, and spread awareness about the work we do every day.
