It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Brian Irwin on May 11, 2026. ๐Ÿ’™

Brian was an extraordinary leader, advocate, and friend within the water well industry. Through his service on the Water Systems Council Technical Committee, his expertise helped shape the 13th Edition of the Water Systems Handbook, a cornerstone resource for our industry. He also faithfully served as Vice President of the Water Well Trust Board of Directors.

Brian dedicated countless years to advancing and protecting the groundwater industry alongside his late wife, Robin. From Capitol Hill advocacy and WSC meetings to WWT fundraisers and volunteer efforts, Brianโ€™s impact reached far beyond words. His wisdom, generosity, and steadfast support touched so many within our WSC and WWT family.
To honor Brian and Robinโ€™s lasting legacy, the Robin Irwin Sunshine Fund will now become the Robin and Brian Irwin Sunshine Fund, continuing their mission of helping New Mexico families living without access to safe water: https://www.waterwelltrust.org/sunshinefund/

We extend our deepest condolences to Brianโ€™s children and grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Brianโ€™s presence, guidance, and dedication to our industry will never be forgotten. ๐Ÿ™
