DDLMDC develops and produces community-building events around the traditions and customs of the Dia de los Mu***os holiday, while fundraising and supporting various social causes affecting the black and brown community, through teaching unity and oneness.

Hoy honramos a todas las almas hermosas de nuestra comunidad que hemos perdido a causa del VIH/SIDA, y abrazamos con fuerza y amor a quienes viven con él cada día. Their stories, their courage, their alegría, and their fight remind us that this journey is one we walk together.

En este día mundial de la lucha contra el SIDA, we stand in unity, fighting stigma, spreading awareness, and holding space for healing, justice, and compassion. No one should ever feel alone. No one should ever feel less than. Our comunidad is powerful porque we show up for each other, siempre.

May we remember.
May we honor.
May we uplift.
May we stand as one. ✊🏽❤️

🌕✨ A Bridge Between Worlds: An Evening of Ritual, Rhythm & Remembrance ✨🌿

We are honored to announce that we will be joining this powerful evening with a beautiful cross-cultural Community Altar, a sacred space for collective healing and ancestral remembrance. Together, we’ll honor those who came before us and continue to live through our stories, our art, and our love. 🕯️💐

Join us as we rekindle the sacred fire first lit when came to DC with us in 2022. In partnership with Mettā Creative and Plant Based Pirate, we gather once more for a soul-stirring journey with world-bridging musician, Poranguí, and co-facilitator Ashley Klein. Opening Support from Biko Casini (of Rising Appalachia).

• Dance, ceremony & ancestral reverence in community
• Immersive sound, healing, and connection

Introducing gateway, a mutual aid benefit rave for home and abroad.

for the first edition, we’ve got a stacked lineup bringing djs from the dmv, baltimore, and beyond to a warehouse in waldorf to spin til sunrise. we’re bringing the focus back to the music and letting the crowd take center stage with a dj booth above the dance floor.

we’ll also have live visuals from .studio and food from to keep your senses satisfied throughout the night.

now, all we need is you. it wouldn’t be a party without the dancers.

Today, we were so ready to gather, celebrate, and fill our beautiful city with music, art, and love. Unfortunately, due to the current conditions, we’ve made the heartfelt decision to reschedule our event.

We believe moments like these remind us what truly matters: the safety and well-being of every single one of us. That will always be our top priority. The joy of knowing our community is safe is unmatched—and it means we’ll have many more chances to dance, create, and connect.

This is not a goodbye—it’s simply a “see you soon.” Our energy, our art, and our love aren’t going anywhere. We will keep spreading it, because together we are stronger, brighter, and unstoppable.
