Dear Autism Community,

There's always a middle ground. Hopefully we can move past semantics and opinions to embrace a greater truth. Banding together in the name of disability could be the collective voice needed to save people's lives. Infighting isn't helping. Division and adherence to or rejection of labels hasn't worked. Let's try unity.

Compassion. Communication. Unification.
Head. Heart. Hand.

Have a wonderful night!

Love,

Unification Station

I'm collecting stories of how people's disabilities have effected their lives and the ability to function in a dog eat dog society.

How do you feel about your place in the world? Your supports; natural and professional?

What, generally, are your impressions of services; their quality and importance?

Whether you have access to, or have been terminated from medicaid, Do you have a support network and contingency plan?

I love stories that are well rounded, as no story is all bad. Highlighting your gifts and abilities and what you can bring to the table is everything. Each person has a contribution they can make to change and the ability to negotiation and demand disability rights and services. What has your life taught you?

I don't care if you respond anonymously or with a rainbow placard. Just please no nonsense AI stories.

Rather than fear of what's happening and coming, I am intent on finding like minded individuals and movements to work with on strengthening our collective voice.

Looking for all disability advocates and programs to offer my support to in building upon what has already been accomplished toward this goal. I have been searching for content with a similar message and haven't found any.

Can anyone help to direct me to people and organizations for connections, collaboration and so that I can get involved with local and federal initiatives that are already in motion?

Dear people with disabilities,

I have a dream that everyone that has a disability will unite. We must unify for the betterment and safety of all. Silos of communication and intentional divides are regressive... a spoke in the wheel of any possible collective progress.

Separation is what is tearing the fabric of our country and communities apart. If any population can get behind a movement against disenfranchisement, oppression and discrimination; can't it be people with disabilities?

If you have a disability, but don't consider it a disability, it is not incumbent upon you to don the letter. Seriously, it's all good. We really don't need you to sully your reputations.

How many factions of disability are there? Each with groups within those categories. Let's tear down the walls of self and institutionalized segregation... from eachother.

So many of us suffer with dual or multiple diagnoses, but have to choose one to be, or mask, or focus on, or fight for. You definitely use your ace of spades disability to explain the trials, tribulations and obvious foibles, in one's shared experiences, to the demanding masses.

They insist upon you choosing a path. Pigean holing your persona, so that every one fits into neat, tiny little boxes that we can tattoo with numbers and ship off... out of sight, out of mind.

The end result of this, all the actions taken by this administration, the civil wars, eruptions of hate and violence everywhere, are that typically developing, gender conformed, straight, white, narcissistic men can feel clean while walking the streets they now own again.

And so I digress...

with one voice we stand a fighting chance in what's to come-

The blind and deaf communities- chilling like the cool kids in the corner... c'mon, y'all! L*z go!-

Infighting within the autism community needs to simmer. There's always a middle ground-

People living with severe mental health diagnoses(needs a new team name)- you can speak up too... hard to find a voice when taught to always question it-

Learning disabilities are disabilities too, btw-

Physical, developmental, intellectual- let's unite!-

And every other self segregated group in the lunch room-

let's connect and root from the most important foundational necessities. We must protect our citizens! We must protest benefits and healthcare being cut in every vulnerable population.

Self advocacy is our power

Anyone? Or is it just AI bots now on Facebook?
