The Shreveport Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was installed April 15, 1973 by Dr. Anna S. Julian, Chairman of the Chapter Establishment committee along with Julia Brogdon Purnell, Southern Area Director. The eleven distinguished women who are know as our charter members were: Mandura Brown, Martha Duncan, Ida Edwards, Albertine Hayes, Susie Hendrix, Verna Jacobs, Rosetta Reed, Maxine Sarpy, Be

nnie Ruth Simpkins, Mavice Wallette and Susie Marie Woods. The Shreveport Chapter continues to live up the the purposes of promoting civic, cultural and educational activities throughout the community. Our members have been enriched by striving to promote fellowship and developing interest in common goals of achievement.
