CSF is proud to announce that Senior Vice President and COO Taylor Schmitz has been appointed to the Hunting and Shooting Sports Conservation and Access Council, representing the interests of wildlife and habitat conservation and management organizations.

For more than 20 years, CSF has served on every iteration of these federal advisory councils, ensuring the voices of hunters, recreational shooters, and the broader sporting-conservation community are represented in conversations that shape conservation and access across the country.

Taylor’s appointment continues that legacy, providing another important opportunity for CSF to work directly with federal leaders to strengthen conservation, expand access, and protect America’s outdoor traditions for generations to come.

This National Hunting and Fishing Day, we’re proud to celebrate a conservation hero whose impact continues to shape America’s outdoors: John D. Dingell Sr.

As a proud sponsor of National Hunting and Fishing Day, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation is proud to honor him as our hero and celebrate his enduring legacy of conservation, stewardship, and access to our nation’s great outdoors.

A champion of our outdoor traditions, Dingell helped establish a groundbreaking conservation model through his leadership on the Federal Duck Stamp Program, connecting participation in hunting with a responsibility to conserve the wildlife and habitats that make these traditions possible.

His work helped create a lasting source of funding for wetlands and wildlife habitat, demonstrating the powerful role sportsmen and women play as conservationists and stewards of our nation’s natural resources.

Today, we’re proud to honor Dingell’s enduring legacy of conservation, stewardship, and access to America’s great outdoors.

We invite you to be part of that legacy. Take the National Hunting and Fishing Day pledge at NHFDay.org and join sportsmen and women across the country in celebrating and supporting the outdoor traditions we all cherish.

Welcome back, Fall. 🍁 We have missed you.

A seat at the table for America’s sportsmen and women. 🇺🇸

Members of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation team were honored to represent CSF at the White House’s Great American Outdoorsmen dinner, including CSF President and CEO Jeff Crane, who joined President Trump alongside longtime CSF supporters and conservation leaders Johnny Morris and Richard Childress.

CSF’s presence reflects the strength of our relationships and our longstanding leadership in the sportsmen’s policy arena—from statehouses to Capitol Hill and the Administration. We’re proud to lead from the front, helping shape the policy conversations that impact the future of hunting, fishing, recreational shooting, conservation, and access nationwide.

Ahead of the dinner, President Trump signed two Executive Orders focused on America’s hunting heritage and saltwater recreational fishing.
“The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation commends President Trump for bringing together leaders from across the sportsmen’s community and recognizing the tremendous contributions hunters, anglers, trappers, and recreational shooters make to our nation,” said Crane. “America’s outdoor heritage is one of our nation’s greatest traditions, and today’s event demonstrates the President’s continued commitment to ensuring these traditions remain strong for generations to come.”

This is what it means to be The Sportsmen’s Voice.

A win for fisheries habitat and America’s anglers. 🎣

The bipartisan Marine Fisheries Habitat Protection Act (H.R. 5745) has advanced out of the House Natural Resources Committee, bringing us one step closer to conserving established reef ecosystems and the fishing opportunities they support.

CSF thanks CSC Members Reps. Mike Ezell, Troy Carter, and Marc Veasey for their leadership in advancing this important conservation measure.
