After six weeks of rehearsals, hard work, and a small dose of goofiness, these musicians really sounded good together. Thank you to the Virginia Department of Veterans Services for making this choir class possible.

Congratulations to the latest graduates of ASAP's Bob Hope Comedy Bootcamp®! As a pioneer for modern comedy, Hope's legacy lives on in every stand-up set. It's not easy committing to 6-weeks of rigorous learning, self-reflection, and writing (and re-writing) content that is supposed to be funny, but these comedians did just that. Then, they got on stage and had the sold-out crowd in stitches.

We're proud to partner with the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation to make classes like this possible.

Lilly Endowment just made a half-million dollar investment to accelerate our national growth plan.

Hot on the heels of a separate half-million dollar gift from the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation, this grant from Lilly Endowment is another major endorsement in ASAP's approach: high-quality, evidence-based arts classes that give veterans new tools to make meaning, build community, and thrive.

The Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation’s recent gift has been catalytic, starting in ASAP classrooms – we’ll let our ASAP Alumni and Comedy Instructors tell you why.

¡Vamos a bailar! After six weeks of learning Salsa, Bachata, and Cha Cha, these military-connected dancers hosted a social show where friends and family could learn a few moves. Thank you to the wonderful Gloria Lanuza for leading this class!

Here's what you missed last week at ASAP: 6 multi-week classes launched, 4 one-time workshops, 3 grad shows, 2 open mics, and a partridge in a pear tree.

No matter the medium (wood, seaglass, drums!) demand for ASAP classes far surpasses our capacity. The generosity of partners like CVS Health allow us to bring these supportive, creative communities to more military-connected folks every day.

In an improv class, classmates turn to one another and say: "I've got your back."

It's an exercise that stuck with Air Force veteran Kimberly Pollard. She took the core principle of improv — to not leave your partner hanging — as a rule of life, employing it in her work as an independent consultant, resilience coach, and representative for her county’s commission for women.

This Women's History Month, we spoke with four women in our community and one thing is clear: the positive and supportive environment of ASAP paints the world around us. Read the full story here → https://asapasap.org/blog-womens-history-month/
