Center for Christian Civics

Center for Christian Civics Empowering the church to be lamps on stands across the political spectrum.

Started by two friends (and professional political opponents), the Center for Christian Civics equips the church for civic engagement and political depolarization. We believe that Christians living in the US have opportunities to re-shape our communities that most people have never had. And because God carries us into specific places at specific times, learning how to exercise those gifts well is

a spiritual responsibility. We want to help our brothers and sisters in Christ handle the responsibilities of representative democracy in ways that leave our neighborhoods, towns and states healthier and more functional than they were before we got there. The Center for Christian Civics is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to equip the church with a robust, prophetic and winsome disposition in the civic arena. We're a small team with a growing slate of projects dedicated to helping the church witness to the life-changing, category-busting power of the gospel.

What shapes the way we think about our responsibilities? For decades, David T Koyzis, author and speaker has been one of the most important voices in the world for evangelicals who want to understand the way our own ideologies turn into idolatry.

He's helping us kick off a new season of our podcast with a conversation about the nature of faith, why conservatives are really liberals, and his new book on citizenship.
