Page Relaunch Announcement!

I’m officially relaunching this page and I want to reintroduce myself and the purpose behind this space.

My name is Essence Johnson. I am a legacy entrepreneur strategist and community builder who has worked side by side with my mother to grow a Black owned woman owned firm deeply rooted in people data transit and public and environmental health. Our work lives at the intersection of pencils and policy data and decisions translating complex systems into real world impact.

I currently serve as Chair of the Cobb County Democratic Committee working alongside organizers and leaders to build power expand access and demand accountability at the local level.

Everything I do is community focused. We are living in unprecedented times but the fight doesn’t stop. The work doesn’t pause because it is hard it deepens. My goal is to be a better descendant to my ancestors and to honor their sacrifices by doing the work they could not safely or freely do themselves.

This page is a home for real conversations about power policy and people. You will find breakdowns of what is actually happening in our communities and government highlights from the work we are doing through Intellectual Concepts E2I2 and Cobb County Democrats and honest discussions about civic engagement elections and accountability. This is about truth context and action not performative politics.

Our work is deeply rooted in community. We do not just analyze data we listen show up and build alongside the people most impacted. I have worn many hats nonprofit leader business executive organizer advocate and parent and this space reflects all of it.
