FYI: Barbers & Beauticians of the Future

Presented by Martha’s Table & Tonsorial Tech – Students ages 14-19 can apply for the opportunity to get paid $20/hr to learn barbering & cosmetology skills, earn credits toward certification, & improve strategic thinking & problem solving skills. This is a 9 week program that will be every Tuesday & Thursday from 5:30pm-7:30pm at 2375 Elvans Rd. SE. For more information, contact Keith Keys ([email protected]). Linda was an integral part of our organization, providing invaluable guidance and wisdom. Beyond support and dedication, Linda brought immense talent and vision to our community, leaving a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire.

Fatherhood doesn’t happen in isolation—and neither does healing. Forge: The State of Black Fatherhood is a live, podcast-style conversation bringing fathers, nonprofit leaders, mental health practitioners, and community organizations together to talk honestly about Black fatherhood, emotional well-being, and connection across generations.

This isn’t a panel or a training. It’s a space for real dialogue, shared insight, and community-driven solutions—centered on the experiences of Black fathers and the systems that support families.
