More people are reaching out for support β€” and 988 is answering. πŸ’š

In 2025, 988 state contact centers saw a 12% increase in calls compared to 2024. Even better: 89% were answered in-state, which connected callers directly to local care when it mattered most.

Growth like this means two things: awareness is spreading, and people are taking that first step to find help.

If you or someone you know needs support, call or text 988, or text TALK to 741741. You don't have to be alone. πŸ’™

Help us create the AFSP Delaware Memory Quilt πŸ’œ

The Memory Quilt Project is a special way to honor and remember loved ones we have lost to su***de while bringing our community together through remembrance, connection, and hope.

We are inviting individuals and families to create a 12" x 12" memory square honoring someone special. Your square can include a name, photo, meaningful words, fabric, colors, symbols, or anything else that represents your loved one.

🧡 No sewing experience is needed!

You can create your square at home and mail it in, or join us to help connect the completed squares and bring the quilt to life.

Once completed, our Memory Quilts will be displayed at AFSP Delaware campus and community Out of the Darkness Walks, creating a meaningful tribute to the lives and stories we carry with us.

πŸ’œ Their stories live on. We remember. We connect. We create hope together.

For details, instructions, or questions, contact Michelle Lewis at [email protected].

πŸ’œ International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day – Delaware 🩡

Losing someone to su***de can leave behind a grief that is difficult for others to fully understand. International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day is a time for those who have experienced this loss to come together with others who understandβ€”to find connection, understanding, hope, and healing.

Please join the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention Delaware Chapter on Saturday, November 21, 2026, for our local Survivor Day gathering.

πŸ“ Hilton Wilmington/Christiana
100 Continental Drive
Newark, DE 19713
πŸ•˜ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

A light breakfast will be served. The morning will provide an opportunity to connect with other su***de loss survivors and will include an AFSP-produced documentary sharing messages of growth, resilience, and connection.

This event is for su***de loss survivors, as well as anyone who wants to support someone who has experienced a loss or support the community.

Registration is required. Scan the QR code on the graphic or visit https://de-survivorday.isosld.afsp.org/ to register.

If you know someone who has lost a loved one to su***de, please consider sharing this post with them. Sometimes simply knowing there is a place where others understand can make a difference. πŸ’œπŸ©΅
