Peter Rough, senior fellow and director of Hudson Institute’s Center on Europe and Eurasia, argues that the West must raise the cost of Russian sabotage, cyber operations and airspace violations to restore deterrence.

Evelyn Farkas, the executive director of the McCain Institute and a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, warned that a Russian victory in Ukraine would also be a defeat for the United States. She argued that the Kremlin wants a weaker America regardless of who occupies the White House and described its imperialist foreign policy as a threat to NATO and U.S. security.
