Today, the Organization for Latino Health Advocacy (OLHA) joined NHCOA and ASAP340B for a critical congressional briefing on the urgent need to reform the 340B prescription drug program.

Originally designed as a health equity tool to support safety-net hospitals and low-income patients, the 340B prescription drug program has strayed far from its core mission.

Patients living with chronic conditions like diabetes and cardiovascular disease know the burden of high out-of-pocket costs all too well—yet they aren't seeing the 340B discounts at the pharmacy counter.

It’s time to bring transparency and reform back to 340B so it actually serves the vulnerable communities it was meant to protect. 🩺💼

Honored to be invited to share our policy priorities with the audience.

This Women’s Health Month, we aren’t just talking about the challenges—we are celebrating the solutions.

Today, the Organization for Latino Health Advocacy (OLHA) is proud to announce the official launch of our inaugural policy brief: Latina Health in the U.S. — A Bipartisan Policy Agenda for the 119th Congress.

Beyond the Numbers:
While it is true that 22 million Latinas power the American economy with $1.3 trillion in GDP, our true value is found in our leadership, our resilience, and our role as the foundational pillars of American families. When Latinas thrive, the nation prospers. 🇺🇸✨

A Roadmap for Progress:
This brief is a celebration of what happens when data meets lived experience. We are presenting Congress with actionable, bipartisan priorities to close the health gap—from maternal mental health and clinical trial inclusion to modern workplace standards for menopause.

Why we need to talk about family history NOW. 🧠💜

Did you know that Latinas are 1.5x more likely to develop Alzheimer’s than our peers? It’s a sobering statistic, but it’s also a call to action.

Talking about brain health at 40 or 50 isn't just about the future—it's about creating "conciencia" today. As I share in this snippet, seeing my mother navigate caregiving taught me that understanding our family history is the first step in taking control of our own health journey.

We can’t change our genes, but we can change our actions once we know the risks. Learn more at ALZinColor.com.
