Save the date, parents! - FVES Alum Senior Clap-out

High school graduation season is just around the corner! Last year’s clap-out for high school seniors who attended FVES was a huge success; the seniors loved it, the little kids loved it, and the FVES teachers and staff loved it. Because it ran so smoothly last year we are able to do it again for this years seniors! And hoping this will continue as a FVES tradition into the future.

If you’re familiar with the clap-out that FVES puts on for 5th graders moving to middle school you will be able to visualize it for our seniors; our HS seniors decked out in their caps and gowns, “Pomp and Circumstance” playing on the PA system, with the entire school lining the halls of the elementary school cheering them on to their next phase in life. It was truly spectacular and very touching.

This year’s clap-out will take place as follows:

When: Friday, June 12th, 9.20am - 10am.

Stay for a group photo afterwards.

Where: FVES - Please park on the street only. No parking will be allowed in the staff carpark or the bus loop.

What: Wear your grad gear - cap and gown - and bring your student ID.

There will be drinks and cookies and photos after the clap-out on the lawn in front of the school.

Neighbors and families are invited to cheer on the kids from outside the school building. Parents and friends are required to remain outside please.

***If you have kids or friends who went to FVES who go to a high school other than Rockville HS please let them know. We want as many FVES alums there as possible, together one last time!***

Hello Manor Lake Neighbors,

As the snow continues to fall, please keep the following in mind to help keep our streets safe and accessible:

1️⃣ Prioritize Off-Street Parking
Whenever possible, please move vehicles into your driveway to avoid being blocked by snowplows and to prevent obstructing snow removal.

If your driveway space is limited, kindly park on the RIGHT side of the street so plows have a clear path to do their job effectively.

2️⃣ Utilize Free County Parking Garages
When a Snow Emergency is declared, Montgomery County parking garages are available at no charge.

3️⃣ Shovel Your Sidewalks
Once the snow has stopped, please remember to clear your sidewalks promptly for pedestrian safety. This is required by law in Montgomery County.

Thank you for doing your part to keep Manor Lake safe and accessible for everyone.

Stay safe and warm! ❄️
