DCAF pays for the abortion care of anyone living in or traveling to the DC Metro region!

Our case managers offer financial counseling to clients and work with area clinics that provide comprehensive reproductive health services.

Can we close a 9k gap TODAY for a caller coming to DC at 33 weeks? We have a caller at 33 weeks traveling to the DC region for their abortion. This seeker had a gap that started at $17,500– and while multiple funds have already pledged, with stricter overall budgets and a struggling ecosystem, we all have less to give and this caller still has a $9,000 gap. What. A. Night.

My Body, My Festival raised a whopping $28,606 for the DC Abortion Fund. Despite living under federal occupation, the constant attacks on abortion access and the anti-abortion protesters who showed up outside the venue… we came together for a night of music, joy and community.

Thank you to who founded this event in 2023 and who helped make MBMF 2026 bigger and better than ever and for hosting us and for the gear!

Thank you to our performers who are carrying the torch of artists advocating for abortion rights.

Waking up every day to check in and see how the courts are playing with your access to abortion is not okay, but it’s unfortunately our reality.

That’s why we are asking you to continue to invest in abortion funds like DCAF. Abortion funds fill in the gap between legality and access and we do it through the monetary support of people like you. We are the ones who are on the phone with people, answering questions in real time when the courts make a mess of our lives. We’re the ones finding a way to get people the abortion they need and want. We will be here through it all.

in DC, where we have world-class healthcare, no parental consent laws for abortion and no gestational age limits, we are in a privileged position to be loud and proud about our demands for our reproductive lives. By being in close relationship with your abortion fund as a DCAF supporter, you are breaking down stigma, creating safe spaces for all abortion seekers and participating in our collective vision for the future of true Reproductive Justice.

For us, one of the most critical tenants of true Reproductive Justice is building out our capacity to support later care abortion seekers. With no gestational age limits in DC and three out of the seven all-tri clinics, we are fortunate to be able to (with your generous support!) fund seekers who in many cases have no where else to turn.
