Keep these 3 words in mind: NEW, CHANGING, or UNUSUAL.

Talk to your doctor if you notice changes in your skin such as a new growth, a sore that doesn’t heal or any of the A-B-C-D-Es of melanoma. Remember, if you SEE something, DO something. It could save your life.

May is Melanoma Awareness Month - a time to honor the voices, faces, and stories that power our community.

This year and every year, we’re celebrating the incredible advocates who turn their personal journeys into purpose. Through their courage, compassion, and determination, they raise awareness, support one another, and help drive meaningful progress in melanoma research.

In 2026, an estimated 112,000 new cases of invasive and 122,680 cases of in situ melanoma will be diagnosed in the U.S. Behind each of these numbers is a person, a family, and a story that matters. Advocates remind us why early detection, prevention, and continued research are so critical - and why we must continue to push forward for progress.
