*162 منظمة تحث الحكومة الأمريكية على رفع العقوبات عن سوريا*

في رسالة مشتركة موجهة إلى الرئيس دونالد ترامب، وبعض الوزارات الأمريكية، وأعضاء الكونغرس، اجتمعت 162 منظمة أمريكية وسورية ودولية ومن مختلف التخصصات في نداء موحد لرفع العقوبات عن سوريا عقب سقوط نظام الأسد، وفي الوقت نفسه، لاتخاذ إجراءات فورية للتخفيف من آثارها السلبية.

أكدت الرسالة على الحاجة الملحّة إلى الإغاثة الإنسانية والإنعاش الاقتصادي في سوريا، داعيةً إلى تغييرات سياسية محددة من شأنها أن تسهّل جهود التعافي وإعادة الإعمار.

"Early recovery and economic stability in Syria are an essential precursor for the stable, inclusive political transition we all hope to achieve. This is why measures to ease sanctions on Syria are critically needed now—precisely because the country’s political future is taking shape, not in spite of it. ... Without major sanctions reform—not just carving out partial exemptions or temporary suspensions—Syria has no realistic path towards economic recovery and renewal."

161 American, Syrian, and international humanitarian, civil society, advocacy, human rights, multifaith, professional, and community organizations and groups sent a joint letter to President Donald J. Trump, the heads of several U.S. Government agencies, and Members of Congress, urging immediate action to ease and lift sanctions on Syria following the fall of the Assad regime.

The organizations called for specific, urgent measures to be taken to address the country’s dire humanitarian and economic crisis:
- Expand Existing OFAC General Licenses (GL 22, GL 24, and Syria NGO License)
- Lift the Ban on U.S. Investments and Services in Syria
- Issue a Broad Export License Exception
- Temporarily Suspend Caesar Act Sanctions
- Resolve Compliance Contradictions and Provide Reassurances
