YAY! We’re thrilled to share that Bike-Walk Alliance of New Hampshire has been awarded Gold-level Bicycle Friendly Business status by the League of American Bicyclists!

BWANH is proud to be part of a national network of more than 1,100 businesses and organizations working to make biking better for employees, customers, and communities.

This recognition reflects the work we do every day to make biking and walking safer, more accessible, and more welcoming across New Hampshire — and it belongs to everyone who supports this movement: our members, partners, volunteers, board, and community advocates.

Bike lanes are under attack.

The Secretary of Transportation has made his intentions clear: defunding what he calls "DEI bike lanes," removing bike lanes from the Department of Transportation's own list of projects proven to make roads safer, proposing to restrict almost all federal funding for bicycle lanes, and even asking to use that funding to remove current bike lanes.

Bike lanes save lives, and the safety of people biking is not up for negotiation. Stand with us in pushing back and help save America's bike lanes.

While the 3-class system for e-bikes has gained widespread adoption, it has not ended public and legislative interest in e-bike regulation.

🚨 URGENT ACTION ALERT 🚨

This week, Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) funding is on the chopping block. The Senate is preparing to pass a stopgap federal funding measure that wouldn’t extend this critical funding.

The SS4A program has made $5 billion over five years directly available to local communities who want to plan for and build safer roads for people walking, biking, taking transit, and driving. Without it, communities will not be able to access this funding to build safer roads.

Tell your senators: the transportation bill extension MUST include continued funding for SS4A.
