17 million pounds of dairy. πŸ₯›πŸ§€πŸ₯„

That's milk, cheese, yogurt, and more, rescued from waste and given to neighbors in need.

So far this year, FoodRecovery.org has recovered and donated over 17 million pounds of dairy products.

Because every gallon and every slice belongs at a table, not in a landfill.

🩡 Thanks to our donors and nonprofit partners for making this possible.

Our 1% for the Planet partner UpClear brought us into their CPG Data Summit and Blue Launch this week in NYC, to ensure all extra catered food was connected to our neighbors in need.

Steak skewers, grilled shrimp, hummus, breakfast sandwiches, and bagels were brought to a nearby community fridge. Sammie chatted with three different people that were picking up from the community fridge as she dropped off, so we know the food was enjoyed right away!

We also launched a food drive with UpClear-- from now until June 18, UpClear is challenging their CPG partners to donate any of their surplus inventory to FoodRecovery.org. Please join us in this commitment to make sure all food is enjoyed, not thrown away! We are extremely grateful to have a partnership with UpClear!

Thanks to incredible partners like the Community Foundation of New Jersey, who have donated 10 crates of delicious lettuce, green beans, and mushrooms, we are helping connect food to communities most in need. They have helped us expand outreach in the region. From compensating drivers to expanding capacity, the Community Foundation of New Jersey helped FoodRecovery.org ensure less food is wasted, and more reaches community members like those at Monmouth Community.

Big moves in Rhode Island! Thanks to dedicated partners like Rhode Island Food Policy Council and Rhode Island Foundation, and the incredible efforts of our donation driver David, we just rescued 400 pounds of food from a local grocery store and delivered it to a local nonprofit. They believe others can do the same, and their support helps us strengthen food recovery across the state.

At FoodRecovery.org, we connect food donors with nonprofits to fight hunger and reduce waste. Our solutions make it easy to donate or receive food while helping the environment. All for free.
