Global Harmony Through Personal Excellence, Inc.

Global Harmony Through Personal Excellence, Inc. Our mission is to support the expression of children, honor humanity and cultivate respect among all people. Each individual leaves with useful, quality gifts.

Global Harmony through Personal Excellence encourages expression, humanity, self worth and respect among all people. Our current project is the 27th caroling event with homeless families. We rent a 56 passenger bus to pick up families from three Community of Hope locations. We take them to visit elderly residents in a large nursing home. The families carol through the halls as they hand out cards.

After caroling, the families are taken to our home for a scrumptious lunch prepared by volunteers of the organization.. We would love you have your support with a NEW gift for a child from 3 to 16, a gift card from Target or Giant for a mom, or with a donation to the organization to contribute to the cost of the bus, food, gifts, several miscellaneous expenses, and help sustain our work all year round.. In the spring we will sponsor the 30th Celebration of Youth essay contest, a real mile stone. Last spring there was an article in the Northwest Current. One thing that came out of it was I am now working with Food Rescue to try to get food to families in DC that do not have enough food each day to feed everyone in the family. Through the essay contest we learn of real hardships for students in our city. Year round we gather gently used culturally relevant books for children and young adults who are patients at at the Conway Health Resource Center, collect gently used, clean maternity clothes and baby clothes for homeless and low income women ( no stains or tears please.) In the summer we gather gently used bikes for a Community of Hope back to school event. In 2018, we want to showcase past winners and participants of our essay contest, put our president (who has led us for over 30 years as a volunteer) on a modest salary. Continuing to build our capacity as an organization will enable all our of current programs to expand and flourish. With enough support we will develop and sponsor an international contest. This has been a long time vision. If ever there was a time for Global Harmony through Personal Excellence, it is now. Visit our web site to learn more www.globalharmonyexcellence.org We would be honored to have your support.

For the first time in history, Europe is giving dogs and cats a voice of their own.

For decades, they’ve been bred in cages, sold in pet shops like toys, and shipped across borders with no trace or care.
But that’s about to change.

In 2025, the European Parliament voted for something extraordinary — the first-ever EU-wide law to protect dogs and cats. 🐾

It will make microchipping and registration mandatory in all 27 countries.
It will ban the sale of puppies and kittens in pet shops.
It will finally set humane standards for breeding — no more cruel inbreeding, no more anonymous online trade, no more lives treated as products.

For millions of families, this means a safer, fairer, kinder way to bring an animal home.
For millions of animals, it means being seen — no longer invisible, no longer disposable.

It’s not just policy. It’s empathy made law.

👉 Would you support a similar law in your country?
Spread this story if you believe every pet deserves protection, not profit.
