Islamophobia is a shared experience amongst Muslims, and its effects are all the more striking and pronounced as elected officials introduce, promote, and fail to stand against harmful legislation that leave our community feeling isolated, vulnerable, and exhibit worsened mental health.

As Mental Health Awareness Month draws to a close, join the Poligon team in contacting elected officials and asking for them to do everything in their power to counter hateful rhetoric and legislation, from the halls of Congress to your very own district.

Last week, Poligon’s team had the honor of hosting brilliant and inspiring Muslim leaders at its annual Washington, D.C. Iftar. The yearly opportunity to connect with likeminded Muslims shaping American policies is deeply valued by Poligon, especially as we reflect on the importance of community in our faith and actions. Last Wednesday’s event and reflection on Poligon’s impact since 2017–including training over 12,000 Americans in legislative advocacy—left us excited to continue equipping Muslim Americans with the tools to succeed in advocating for their needs at the national level.

In these last ten nights of Ramadan, join and support the Poligon community through a tax-deductible zakat-eligible donation. Give the gift of empowerment, advocacy, and legislative education to Muslims across the U.S. Together, we hope to continue amplifying Muslim voices in Congress.
