Today, members of the Potomac Graduate Chapter showed up for our community in a meaningful way. We had the opportunity to attend a community baby shower where we supported expecting mothers by donating boxes of diapers to help them prepare for their new arrivals.

Moments like this remind us that service is not just something we do, it is who we are. Supporting families, uplifting mothers, and ensuring that babies have what they need from the very beginning is part of the impact we are proud to make.

The Paidamoyo Potomac Graduate Chapter proudly hosted our annual Spelling Bee today at Woodhome Elementary and Middle School, and what an incredible display of talent it was. Congratulations to all of our winners and participants who showcased their knowledge, confidence, and dedication to learning.

Moments like these remind us why we remain committed to Promoting Higher Intelligence. We are honored to support and uplift young scholars as they continue striving for excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

Keep shining, keep learning, and keep reaching higher.

Our chapter Sisters, Akilah, Rhandi, and Dinea were honored to take part in American Education Week, spending time with students and sharing insights to help them navigate school, leadership, and life. We had real conversations about making good choices, staying focused, and believing in their own potential. Moments like these remind us why investing in our youth matters so much. They are watching, learning, and preparing to lead, and we’re grateful to play a small part in their journey.

Paidamoyo Potomac Graduate Chapter proudly participated in the Making Strides for Breast Cancer walk in honor of survivors, fighters, and those we’ve lost. Today we walked for Founder Ellen Tomlinson.

Breast Cancer Awareness is one of Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc.®’s national programs, and we’re committed to doing our part to raise awareness, support research, and uplift our communities. Together, we walk with purpose, love, and Swing Sisterhood!

The Paidamoyo Potomac Graduate Chapter proudly joined the NAMI Walk in Baltimore, Maryland, showing support for mental health awareness and advocacy. Together, we walk to end the stigma and promote the importance of seeking help, showing compassion, and building stronger, healthier communities.

Every step we take moves us closer to a world where mental health is prioritized and understood.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it's time we talk openly about the realities many Black women face. Too often, depression is misread as “strong Black woman syndrome,” leaving pain unspoken and untreated.

Black women deserve spaces to heal, feel, and be vulnerable without judgment. Therapy, support groups, and honest conversations can be life-changing. You’re not alone, and your mental health matters. Let’s break the silence and support one another.
