New reporting from 60 Minutes reveals that a suspected microwave weapon tied to Havana Syndrome was tested with rats and sheep in a U.S. military lab. The studies found injuries similar to those experienced by affected personnel, highlighting the important role animal research plays in investigating complex medical and national security threats.

For years, the U.S. government has doubted the stories of those suffering from AHI, commonly called Havana Syndrome. Now, victims hope that reports of a newly discovered weapon will finally vindicate them.

Read the letter:

'According to the U.S. Government Accountability Office’s May 2025 report on the state of organ-on-a-chip technology, New Approach Methods (or NAMs) are playing an increasingly important role in drug development, but they lack established benchmarks,' writes an L.A. Times reader.
