Currently there are chapters in Oregon at PSU, OSU, UofO, CCC, Reed, L&C, and L&C Law. We need your help spreading SSDP to other Oregon colleges. We are the only international network of students dedicated to ending the war on drugs. At heart, SSDP is a grassroots organization

, led by a student-run board of directors. We create change by bringing young people together and creating safe spaces for students of all political and ideological stripes to have honest conversations about drugs and drug policy. Founded in 1998, SSDP comprises thousands of members at hundreds of campuses in countries around the globe.

I would like to thank everyone that has liked the page so far. This page is to spark interest in an SSDP Chapter at SOU. schoolsnotprisons.org provides many resources and mentoring to help you run a chapter. If anyone starts the chapter at SOU then I'll gladly hand over admin of this account. If you know people that attend SOU then please let them know. -Stay Sensible

MISSION STATEMENT:
Students for Sensible Drug Policy is an international grassroots network of students who are concerned about the impact drug abuse has on our communities, but who also know that the War on Drugs is failing our generation and our society.

SSDP mobilizes and empowers young people to participate in the political process, pushing for sensible policies to achieve a safer and more just future, while fighting back against counterproductive Drug War policies, particularly those that directly harm students and youth.

Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) is an international grassroots, student-led organization working to end drug prohibition.

YOU... yes YOU!! You should start a chapter at SOU. It's really easy and really fun. Meet like minded individuals in the drug policy movement. Oregon SSDP is comprised of 6 chapters ranging from Eugene to PDX. This is where you come into play.
