We reach everyone with a voice in eradicating abuse—from families and communities to Capitol Hill. National Children’s Alliance, or NCA, is a professional membership organization on a mission to make one big difference, one child at a time. Reaching everyone with a voice in eradicating abuse—from families, advocates, team members, communities, and all the way to Capitol Hill, its members power a n

As a not-for-profit membership and accrediting organization providing comprehensive care through hundreds of Children’s Advocacy Centers nationwide, we unify and amplify our voices to command better outcomes. Featuring the largest network of care centers supporting child abuse victims in the country, NCA is a model in outcome-driven collaboration. Delivering everything from leadership and educational opportunities to resources and connections, the organization inspires members, referrers, and futures. By amplifying a single-minded voice in order to help local communities put the needs of victims first, NCA is the beginning of child abuse’s end.

Faith can be a source of comfort, strength, and community for children and families.

But when someone who is abusing a child twists those beliefs to create fear or shame, it can make it even harder for that child to speak up.

No child should ever feel that their faith requires them to stay silent about abuse.

One million voices: One shared commitment to helping kids heal.

NCA's Outcome Measurement System (OMS) has officially surpassed 1 million survey responses from caregivers, youth, and MDT partners. Every response represents a voice, an experience, and an opportunity to make Children's Advocacy Centers even stronger for the children and families they serve. Thank you so much to everyone who has shared their voice along the way.

When a child experiences trauma, timely support can make a meaningful difference.

In a new blog, NCA Institute for Better Mental Health Outcomes Director Michelle Miller, Ph.D., LCSW, explores how the Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) helps children and caregivers begin healing sooner through a brief, evidence-based approach. Research shows that 80% of children who complete CFTSI do not need additional trauma treatment, highlighting the power of early intervention.

Read more about how CACs are using CFTSI to expand access to care, strengthen caregiver-child communication, and explore our upcoming training opportunities to add CFTSI to your CAC's menu of mental health services: https://www.nationalchildrensalliance.org/understanding-cftsi/

These are the real words of a kid served by a Children's Advocacy Center (CAC). Through our Youth Feedback Survey, we're hearing about kids' experiences. CACs listen to children, help them process what's happened to them, and build a foundation for life after abuse so they can go back to being kids.
