CALLING ALL STUDENTS: SIGN UP AND SPEAK OUT! LINK IN BIO!

During the week of September 28 - October 2, TSC’s national action days will call on students to unite and speak out at their state capitols in 10 states across the country. Building in the momentum we witness at our annual DC Student Summit, we want students to take to their statehouses, meet directly with lawmakers, share stories, and press for policies that strengthen access to higher education.

This September, adult learners, educators, administrators, state leaders, and partners from across the country will gather in Washington, DC, for Flood the Hill, adult education's largest national advocacy event.

Together, we'll meet with Congressional offices, discuss current federal policy issues, and bring the voices of adult learners and educators directly to Congress.

To help make attendance possible, COABE is offering a limited number of travel grants of up to $500 to offset travel and lodging expenses for individuals facing financial barriers.

Grant applications will be reviewed based on:
✔️ Financial need
✔️ Advocacy potential
✔️ Geographic representation
✔️ Travel complexity

If you've ever wanted to advocate for adult education but thought attending was out of reach, this opportunity may be for you.

We want voices from every corner of the country represented on Capitol Hill because every learner, educator, and program has a story worth sharing.

Apply today and help ensure adult education remains a national priority.

Earlier this year, we partnered with the Annie E. Casey Foundation to officially launch a Workforce Student Ambassador Fellowship, TSC’s second immersive fellowship program, and we recently announced the first pilot cohort.

The Workforce Student Ambassador Fellowship pilot recognizes the significance of elevating learners' experiences in traditional workforce training programs in shaping public policy.

A nine-month opportunity for participants who are either currently enrolled in a workforce training program or recent program graduates, help us welcome the fellows of our inaugural class!

We’re relaunching the More Pathways, Less Ladders campaign — and we need you with us. 🔥

In a transformative era for America’s higher education system, experts, institutions, and advocates know if we want postsecondary education to truly be future-ready, we need to focus on creating pathways and fix policies that penalize learners.

TSC’s More Pathways, Less Ladders toolkit covers four urgent shifts we need to build a system ready to evolve with the needs of modern learners that works for more people throughout their lives.

It’s the higher education system we all deserve.

Join us throughout April. Use the customizable content from the toolkit, your own research or reflections, like, share or tag Today’s Students Coalition for a repost!
