Campus Race to Zero Waste Register your school to compete in the 2021 Campus Race to Zero Waste (formerly RecycleMania) Competition at www.campusracetozerowaste.org

Campus Race to Zero Waste (formerly RecycleMania) is a friendly competition and benchmarking tool for college and university sustainability and waste reduction programs to promote waste minimization activities to their campus communities. Over a 10-week period, campuses compete in different categories to see which institution can collect the largest amount of recyclables per capita, the largest amount of total recyclables, the least amount of trash per capita, or have the highest recycling rate.

Whether your campus is new to recycling or expert at waste diversion, the competition has a category for you. ♻️ Link to register here:

Diversion (8 week reporting)
Per Capita Recycling (8 week reporting)
New! Reduce Food Loss by Rescuing Food (8 week reporting)
New! Diverting Food Waste from Landfills/Incineration (8 week reporting)
GameDay Basketball (one-time reporting)
Electronics Recycling (one-time reporting)
Case Study Competition (submission in June 2026)

**The two new categories, “Reduce Food Loss by Rescuing Food” and “Diverting Food Waste from Landfills/Incineration” are replacing the “Food Organics category” offered during previous competitions.
