Spanish Education for Women

Spanish Education for Women Spanish Education for Women is a non-profit organization providing quality Spanish to women who work with recently arrived Latinas and Latinos.

We offer 3 weeks of intensive Spanish instruction in a working-class neighborhood of Guadalajara every July. SEW has offered summer Spanish lessons in Guadalajara since 1986.

Every summer families from this vibrant neighborhood of Guadalajara open their doors to SEW: teachers, attorneys and activists committed to immigration justice.

We travel to Mexico for three weeks to work on our Spanish.

We also plant trees, play dominoes, and visit a migrant shelter.

We return home much more confident to accompany migrants in our communities.
