Many falls can be prevented. This Falls Prevention Awareness Month, take one step toward reducing your risk: stay physically active, talk with your healthcare provider about your fall risk, make your home safer, or learn about local falls prevention programs. Every step counts.

Falls can have serious consequences, including injuries, hospitalization, and loss of mobility and independence. But many falls are preventable.

Staying physically active, addressing health and medication concerns, making the home safer, and talking with a healthcare provider about fall risk are just a few ways to reduce the likelihood of a fall and support healthy, independent living.
