2026 National Meeting Minutes
Call to Order / President's Report
Nathan Boyes served as acting president in place of current President Melissa Montgomery, who, along with other members of the DDGA cabinet, was unable to attend the meeting.
President's Report
Finances
The DDGA has approximately $2,500 financially for the year.
* This amount includes approximately $1,080 in outstanding funds from OR23 that are still being held by Camp Taloali.
The DDGA continues to work toward resolving the outstanding OR23 funds.
Membership and Disc Distribution
New DDGA members should see Nathan Boyes to receive their membership discs if you did not receive it already at registration.
* Members who have not received their discs from previous years should contact Nathan during the week following the meeting.
* Remaining DDGA discs will be sold at a reduced price. Members interested in purchasing remaining discs should see Nathan Boyes.
Nathan acknowledged that operating a national organization can be challenging and that personal and organizational circumstances have contributed to delays in members receiving items in recent years. He apologized to members who did not receive items they were expecting and stated that the DDGA intends to improve this process moving forward.
DDGA Activities and Support
The DDGA continues to:
* Sponsor and support the annual National Deaf Disc Golf Championship.
* Assist with coordinating local deaf disc golf tournaments.
* Serve as a liaison with the PDGA for major events and initiatives, including:
* USDGC
* USWDGC
* Throw Pink
* Pro Worlds
* Amateur Worlds
* Help coordinate field events and disseminate disc golf information through social media.
The President's Report was concluded.

Tournament Committee Reports
TX27
The TX27 committee report was presented by Dylan Sicoli and Tim Artinian. Dates were announced and courses as well.
MD28
The MD28 committee report was presented by Tom McKnight.
OR29
The OR29 report was presented by Nathan Boyes. Dates will revolve around Deaflympics 2029, WDT and YLC.
Future Bids
The bid process for the 2030 National Deaf Disc Golf Championship will take place at TX27.

New Business
Lifetime DDGA Membership for Randy Taylor
Adam Jarashow proposed that Randy Taylor be granted a lifetime membership in the DDGA.
The motion was seconded by Mark Farr.
Following discussion, the motion was put to a vote.
Motion passed unanimously.
Randy Taylor was granted a lifetime DDGA membership.

Maximum Number of Courses for Future National Championships
Dylan Sicoli proposed establishing a maximum of two courses for future National Deaf Disc Golf Championships.
The motion was seconded by Erik Lee.
Discussion followed regarding the accessibility and practicality of using multiple courses for National Championship events.
Jimmy Beldon proposed an amendment allowing:
A maximum of two courses for the professional/open divisions.
The number of courses used for amateur divisions to be at the Tournament Director's discretion.
The amendment was seconded by Tom McKnight.
Discussion included:
Adam Jarashow expressed support for allowing different course structures for amateur and professional divisions.
Matt Ellis noted that access to courses varies significantly by region, with some areas having easier access to multiple courses than others.
Alyssa discussed the difficulty some players may have finding sufficient time to practice three different courses.
Sharif clarified that courses located on the same property would still count as separate courses if they are separate courses.
Nathan clarified that different teepads or pins on the same course still counts as one course.
The amendment was passed.
The amended main motion was then passed, establishing that:
Future National Deaf Disc Golf Championships will use a maximum of two courses for the Open/Professional divisions, while the number of courses for Amateur divisions will be at the Tournament Director's discretion.

Election of President
Nominations for President were opened.
Erik Lee nominated Nathan Boyes, who accepted the nomination.
Justin Adkins nominated Erik Lee, who declined the nomination.
Tom McKnight moved to close nominations.
With no other nominations, Nathan Boyes was elected President of the Deaf Disc Golf Association.
Nathan stated that one of his goals moving forward would be to establish a DDGA mentorship program to help strengthen the organization and support its future leadership.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned following completion of the new business and election.
