"Those using “young women” to expose the salacious Epstein story are playing into the hands of men who say they’ve never bought a trafficked person. Demand Abolition’s Founder and Chair Swanee Hunt writes in The Boston Globe about Robert Kraft’s unlucky bet that resulted in a tsunami of attention on the buyers who fund the illegal s*x trade.

The charges against Kraft and others show attitudes are shifting. S*x-trafficking survivors are now working with law enforcement who used to arrest them to hold buyers accountable.

Our research on who buys s*x, released last week, is the largest study to date of men's s*x-buying habits. It tells us what motivates men who buy s*x and, most important, how to stop them. It gives us critical data as we move forward with policies and legislation to address demand.

This case isn’t about where Kraft goes from here, Swanee says. “It’s about where we go.”
