Our mission is to make the lives of pigs and pugs happier and healthier.

Tranquil Space Foundation’s second signature program, Pigs & Pugs Project, began forming in 2016 and is a part of the Foundation’s shift to animal welfare. Pigs & Pugs Project raises awareness and provides education about the amazing work of pig sanctuaries and pug rescues throughout the United States. The program launched in 2017 with micro-grants for these organizations plus our annual signature events such as Pigs, Pugs, & Pinot, Yoga & the Animals, and Pugs & Pints.

🐷🩷 August is officially National Adopt a Pig Month — as if we needed an excuse to celebrate these snuggly, smart, and oh-so-sassy beings!

From their adorable snouts to their surprisingly impressive zoomies, pigs have BIG personalities and even bigger hearts. Sadly, many find themselves in need of loving homes after being misunderstood or mistreated. That’s where adoption (and you!) come in.

This month, consider supporting your local pig sanctuary, learning more about their care, or—if your heart and home are ready—welcoming one into your family.

In response to the devastating wildfires spreading across California, we applaud those tireless responders—the volunteers, transporters, rescuers, fosters, the sanctuaries and rescues—who are working around the clock to help animals in need. With countless number of pets who have been displaced, lost, or separated from their homes, that need is tremendous. Pigs & Pugs is happy to share a microgrant with LA-based Pug Queen Foundation, which cares (and is financially responsible) for over 100 pugs in the area, to help with the most urgent needs at this unprecedented time.

Winter walks can be chilly for our snuggly pugs! 🐾❄️ Protect those squishy noses and tiny toes with these tips:

🌬️ Keep walks short and sweet when it’s extra frosty.
🧣 Bundle up with a cozy sweater or jacket designed for pugs’ unique shape.
🐾 Use paw balm or booties to shield their sensitive pads from salt and ice.
🏠 Warm up with cuddles, a soft blanket, and lots of love after outdoor adventures!

A little extra care goes a long way in keeping those curly tails wagging!
