Product-level environmental data has gone from nice-to-have to core infrastructure. It's required by regulation, expected by customers, and increasingly a competitive advantage. But that new status brings a new problem, and it's a big one.

Session Spotlight: AI + LCA: What's Real, What's Hype, and What You Should Do About It

Most LCA teams are being told to use AI. Very few have an answer for where it belongs in the workflow.

Two perspectives on the same question:

Susan Monroe, Director of Sustainability & ESG at Vishay, whose customers ask for product carbon footprints by the thousands.

Elmar Kert, CEO and co-founder of Sluicebox, who works with Nvidia, Infineon, and SanDisk to build the tooling.

They work through which parts of PCF and LCA generation AI can speed up, what guardrails keep the output ISO-conformant and able to pass third-party review, and where AI for LCAs is heading next.
