United Voices, the Coalition for Civil Freedoms and partner organizations today announced the launch of "The War on Terror Film Festival" (WOTFF), marking 20 years of the global War on Terror. The WOTFF is a FREE month-long, public virtual event featuring 20 award-winning films that document, explain, and satirize the last 20 years of WOT. Films include Oscar-winning “Citizenfour” and “Taxi to the Dark Side”, the Oscar-nominated “Dirty Wars,” the highly-acclaimed “The Mauritanian,” “Four Lions,” “Fahrenheit 9/11,” “The Feeling of Being Watched,” and more. Each screening will be accompanied by a live-streamed panel discussion with filmmakers, survivors, actors, scholars, journalists, and resistors including Edward Snowden, Michael Moore, Noam Chomsky, Dan Reed, Chris Morris, Amy Goodman, and many more.
The WOTFF will run on five weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) in October, beginning Friday, October 1 and ending Sunday, October 31.
