RedR US is the U. S. associate of an international NGO, RedR, that trains life-savers. RedR gives people the skills to be ready for, and respond to major disasters like earthquakes, floods, conflict and drought.
Citizens are always the first responders to a disaster. That’s why we build the skills of national aid workers working for local organisations in disaster-prone countries through our training, through the co-working of our members or through our free technical advice service. Our approach ensures skills remain in-country for the long-term, ready for future disasters.
We’ve responded to every major disaster in recent years, including the Syrian conflict, the Ebola outbreak in west Africa, Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, floods in Pakistan and the Haiti earthquake.
RedR Members work at the frontline of humanitarian response for a wide variety of NGOs and UN agencies.
We deliver humanitarian training and support around the world working primarily in developing countries that are prone to, or have been affected by, major natural disasters or conflict. For example, RedR UK has regional programme offices in the UK, Kenya, Jordan and Sudan. We deliver training, consultancy services and expert support globally.
