Hi my name is Asha and I am a reporter for the Young Masters page. As a Super Kid I worked on murals and studies for the upcoming Monroe Street Homecoming Bridge Artscape. It was fun! I also worked on the Brookland-Homecoming Bridge mural in 2014 when I was still a baby.

Hi! My name is Sienna and I am a Young Masters' Gold Star Artist. I am also a Super Kid, a Captain in "The Unit" and a reporter for this Young Masters page. My experience comes from painting pictures and making things happen through Art.

Greetings Neighbors, Friends, and Young Masters' Family!

The Young Masters is thrilled to announce that we have received a grant from the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) to activate the Monroe Street Bridge with art. We invite you to join us in this healing experience. All hands will come together in this painting. Paint strokes will become ribbons representing families, friends, organizations and more--our extended Brookland and Edgewood families.

We are preparing to get out on the bridge with our paint, but in the meantime we would love to hear from you: How do we uplift our community and heal and grow as a collective? What words and images do you think should be included in the bridge mural design?
