đź’« Your Story is Your Superpower đź’«

Everyone has a story. The setbacks you’ve faced, the pivots you’ve made, and the grit you’ve shown — all of it matters.

What you can do:

Reflect on your life and career challenges. Identify the moments that shaped your resilience, values, and growth. Then, practice sharing your story with clarity and purpose — in interviews, networking conversations, or your LinkedIn profile.

Why it matters:

✨ Your story makes you memorable.

✨ It builds trust, shows leadership, and demonstrates your capacity to learn and evolve.

✨ People connect with authenticity — not perfection.

*******Example: Aisha transitioned from a career in education to HR while raising two kids. Instead of hiding her journey, she shared it. Her story of balance, adaptability, and purpose landed her a role at a mission-driven nonprofit that truly valued her perspectives.

Slow Down to Move Forward

Use Saturdays to reflect, refocus, and reset your career momentum. Ask yourself:

What energized me this week?

What drained me?

Did I take a step toward my long-term goals?

✨ Tip: Block 15 minutes today to journal or review your progress. Small check-ins lead to big breakthroughs.

Be Intentional About Your Path
Success doesn’t just happen—it’s a result of intentional effort, consistent reflection, and strategic decisions. Whether you're just starting out or looking to advance, clarity is your greatest asset.
**Set specific, meaningful goals that align with your values and strengths.

**Surround yourself with people who inspire growth—mentors, peers, and professionals who challenge you and cheer you on.

**Take consistent action, even if it’s just one step at a time. Progress compounds.

Remember, every decision you make—what you say yes to, how you spend your time, who you connect with—is shaping your future. The more intentional you are, the more aligned and fulfilling your career will become.

“The future depends on what you do today.” — Mahatma Gandhi
You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just need to keep showing up with purpose and direction.

Dear Members,

SAVE THE DATE - MAY 21 SUMMIT

We are in the process of planning for the EWG Summit scheduled for May 21st.. (Please save the date!) We are exploring ideas for panels such as Career Transitions and Work/Life Balance. While we have a couple of other ideas, we thought we would ask you all what topics you wanted to hear from the experts. Please send us your suggestions for panels by the end of next week to give us plenty of time narrow down the choices and identify possible panelists. We welcome and value ALL ideas and suggestions. Thank you so much for your input! Respectfully, Ellen McClain
