GUTEN TAAAAAAAAG! It's Johannes Brahms' 193rd birthday today!

Do you remember this fantastic commercial from the Americans for the Arts campaign in 2008? We sure do (and might have quoted it far too many times in our office this season...)

That's the "power of the arts!" Happy birthday, Johannes!

Just a little over two weeks until we present our final concert of the season: Of Love & Spirit!

We’re thrilled to have Steven Fox back on the podium, leading us through these two miniature programs. “Of Love” is dedicated Brahms’ beloved Liebeslieder Waltzes, and “Of Spirit” is dedicated to the work we’ve been doing with CCS to spotlight rich and varied (and often lesser known) American composers.

🗞️ In case you missed it this weekend, we were front and center for the Washington Post's spotlight on holiday choral showcases!

We love seeing the wide variety on display, because as author Michael Brodeur said, "choruses remind us that in a culture of cross talk, reassurance awaits in the sound of voices in unison."

We hope you'll join us for our beloved performances of A Joy of Christmas, and we can't wait to lift our voices with you!

Thank you for kicking off our 2025-26 season in such a spectacular way with Mozart’s Requiem!

Your presence filled each note with meaning, and your support continues to carry our music far beyond these walls. Your desire for excellence pushed us to give everything we had to the stage.

Each time we see your smiling face — or your name lights up a virtual program — we’re reminded of the incredible community that makes our work possible. Your generosity brings music to life and helps us keep creating spaces where beauty, reflection, and connection can flourish.

We also wish to thank the incredible talent that made this an extraordinary experience:

Katerina Burton, soprano
Veronica Siebert, mezzo-soprano
Lawrence Jones, tenor
Atticus Rego, bass
