From our newest Rangers to our graduating JETs, this weekend’s Spring Celebration was a reminder of what makes this community so special 💙

80+ members of the City Kids family came together at Riverside Center & Marvin Gaye Park for a day full of games, laughter, memories, and celebration. Watching youth from every cohort connect, celebrate incredible milestones, and support one another made the day unforgettable.

NEXT WEEK IS GIVE GREATER DC 🤝🗓️ 5.12.26

On May 12, City Kids is joining — a 24-hour day of giving where the entire DC region comes together to support local nonprofits. It’s one of our biggest fundraising moments of the year, and this year, every gift to City Kids will be DOUBLED!

This summer, 130 DC youth will hike the Tetons, kayak Yellowstone, and experience the kind of growth and confidence that lasts long after summer ends — but we need your help to get them there.

To celebrate 30 YEARS of City Kids, a Board member has pledged to match every donation dollar-for-dollar up to $30,000 through May 12.

That means RIGHT NOW:
$50 becomes $100
$250 becomes $500
Every gift goes twice as far.

Your support helps cover flights, gear, meals, and the transformative experiences that happen in the outdoors 🏔️💙

Our last Applicant Overnight trip of the year had so much joy, connection, and new beginnings already taking root. We can’t wait to welcome our newest cohort of City Kids soon 💙

We’re still reliving our spring break adventures 🌿✨

From biking and fishing and canoeing across the DMV, to backpacking through Shenandoah, to sea kayaking along the South Carolina coast—spring break was one for the books.

Grateful for every mile, every paddle stroke, and every moment these young explorers showed up with curiosity, courage, and joy. 🛶🏕️🚲

Here’s to holding onto that spring break feeling a little longer 💙

We are heartbroken about the passing of City Kids Alum, Malcolm Hatton. As we have been reflecting on our time with Malcolm, we are so appreciative of his joyful smile and his love for Wyoming. We are sending so much love to Malcolm’s family and his City Kids family. Whenever anyone asked where he was from, Malcolm always used to say “Jackson, Wyoming.” Your legacy continues on at City Kids ❤️
