Dine After Dark is a nonprofit organization building inclusive communities through better business practices.
We’re on a mission to improve consumer services for Muslim Americans during the Islamic holiday month of Ramadan, an important holiday celebrated by more than 1.6 billion people worldwide.
Founded in Washington, D.C., Dine After Dark is a growing network of restaurants and businesses offering extended operating hours during the holiday month of Ramadan, to make dining-out more convenient for those celebrating the season. The practice is good for customers, good for businesses, and helps foster more inclusive communities.
During Ramadan, many Muslims celebrate by observing a traditional holiday fast each day from dawn until dusk and - as the holiday cycles through our calendar ten days earlier each year - sometimes fasting lasts as late as 9PM.
That's why we DINE AFTER DARK.
We are launching our inaugural season in spring 2019 and are recruiting local businesses to join the Dine After Dark movement. Sign up today!
