The Canon Law Society of America (CLSA) has published a new edition of its popular Clergy Procedural Handbook, the first revision in more than thirty years. This new edition acknowledges the important shifts that have occurred in Church law in the intervening decades.

We are excited to congratulate Pope Leo XIV and will diligently pray for him as he assumes the papacy. The three CLSA representatives who had the privilege and honor of meeting with him at the Dicastery for Bishops in late February are especially grateful to have had that memorable opportunity.

The Roman Rota will offer a training course titled "Il Tribunale Apostolico della Rota Romana: Ministerium Iustitiae et Caritatis in Veritate" on November 19-23, 2024, at the offices of the Roman Rota in Rome. The class will conclude with an audience with the Holy Father.

Planning for our biennial Roman dicasteries and tribunals trip next spring is in the works. We want to hear from you! We are soliciting possible questions now from the membership. You can submit as many questions as you like by clicking the link below, but please use a separate form for each one. Please submit all questions by October 1. Names are not required, but it is helpful if we need clarification or more information to understand the question.

The Board will finalize the questions and submit them to the dicasteries and tribunals in January. We cannot promise your question will be submitted and we can’t respond to each one individually. However, we will publish a full report following the trip.

Please add your suggested questions for the CLSA officers to use when planning their Spring 2025 dicastery visits.
