John Christensen – If you have ever wondered who is behind that weekly voice welcoming you to ACS Webinars… now you know. John is your host and key eng
ine behind the curtain. John came to us from the Republic of Texas. He moved to Washington, DC to follow his passion for politics before getting side tracked by ACS Webinars. In addition to time spent at Brigham Young University, John spent several years in Sonora, Mexico where he developed his culinary passion for beans-in-a-can lunch. Tanya Fogg – Talk to us, write to us, tweet us, fan us, and you will hear back in a reasonable time from Tanya. She will help answer your questions, resolve issues you encounter (your relationship issues – optional), or find someone (a therapist) who can help you. She’ll take care of you! She also makes sure that the ACS Webinars production wheel is turning, and keeps all of us humming and happy. Samuel Toba – Samuel is actually a chemist at heart and enjoyed his learning periods at Towson (Go Tiger!), Penn State (Go Nittany!), UCSF (a great institution without a mascot), and SDSU (Go Aztec!). He worked in industry and startups in various scientific and business roles before moving to Washington, DC and became an association bureaucrat. Samuel responsibilities include doing what John and Tanya tells him. Cheryl Mathews – If you need a technology and e-learning guru, Cheryl is your woman. Trained as a neuro-psychologist with a passion in technology, Cheryl makes technology simple and fun for all of us. Beat that! David Harwell – Tune in often enough, you may also get to hear Dave’s comforting voice as he serves as an occasional moderator for ACS Webinars. But don’t let his suave sound fool you, Dave is as comfortable out lassoing a cow or re-modeling your kitchen. And yes, Dave is also a well dressed chemist. Brittany Vesce – Our data maven intern. Brittany helps us slice, dice, chop, julienne, and sort all the data and numbers. With her ‘master-chef-excel’ hat, she can whip the mucky muck data into something meaningful – so ACS Webinars can better serve you. Kara Van Stralen (past member) – Our amazing marketing and social media intern. Having had the experience of working on political campaigns to stints at the White House, no task is too big for her challenge. Kara was hailed from California where she attended Redland University and majored in Political Science. She is currently working on Capitol Hill.
