Selected from 120 applications across the U.S. and Canada, these Fringe artists represent the depth and vitality of the open-access Fringe ecosystem. We’re honored to support their touring work and to continue Edward Glenn Tyler’s legacy of experimentation, access, and artist-driven practice.

Amazing news! In the very first year of the Tyler Fringe Touring Fund, we’ve received 120 applications. About 25% are Canadian artists, with the rest coming from across the U.S. It was genuinely thrilling to see so many familiar names from longtime Capital Fringe/DC participants in the mix. Over the next few weeks, applications will be reviewed for eligibility, and then we’ll proceed to the random lottery drawing. Everyone who applied will receive follow-up emails within the next two weeks.

Capturing the raw, DIY spirit of DC’s largest and longest-running theatre festival, The Book of Fringe is part memoir, part how-to, and part why-to, revealing not just how a movement was built, but why it mattered.

Only 500 limited-edition linen-covered art books are being printed in this first run, each foil-stamped and individually numbered. 30% remain available. Once sold out, future orders will be paperback print-on-demand.
