The joy of shouting “GOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL” is universal.

As we share World Cup duties with Canada and Mexico, the US has an opportunity to model community, safety, and belonging by welcoming our global neighbors into our country to celebrate a game that the whole world loves.

This is a time to remind ourselves that there are so many more things that unite us than divide us. We are more than borders. We are more than beliefs. We are more than backgrounds.

We are lovers of underdogs. We are face (and body) painters. We are flag wavers. We are group-stage girlies and championship chasers.

The World Cup, like so much of life, is better and richer and stronger when we share it as a whole community.

America turns 250 this year. And one question keeps coming up: what kind of country do we want to be? At Indiana University, ambassador John Wood Jr. challenged a packed room to answer it. Not with a political platform, but with a posture. See people. Don't dehumanize them, even when it's hard. ESPECIALLY when it's hard.

That's the work. And it's happening on campuses, in community centers, and around tables everywhere. We're proud to be part of it.

There are moments when showing up feels impossible. But sometimes that's exactly when it matters most.

Our program lead Saadia attended a workshop on hate crimes and community response, not because she felt ready, but because she knew she needed to. What she found there changed how she was thinking about grief, action, and hope.

A huge thank you to the Longview Chamber of Commerce, LeTourneau University, the City of Longview, and Partners in Prevention’s Unity and Diversity for helping host a meaningful Together We Dine in Longview, Texas.
One attendee shared, “It was very helpful to be reminded that closely listening to others helps us remember their humanity and can reduce friction between people who disagree.”

Over 3,700 Utahns filed formal protests to protect the Beehive State from a massive proposed data center. People who generally disagree about a lot...agreed on this!

They didn't come to fight each other. They came to fight for something they all love. Their home state.

Details about the attack at the White House Correspondants' Dinner are still emerging, but one thing is clear: Violence has no place in our democracy.

When we disagree with people, we have so many options to engage and get our points across. Violence cannot become an accepted response to political disagreement—ever.

This isn’t a moment to look away or keep going with business as usual. It’s an opportunity to make a choice. A choice where we, as a nation, decide that we won’t let violence turn into a norm. A choice that we’ll support efforts to reduce harm and increase safety.

Now is our time to see each other’s humanity and build a safer America—for all of us.
